Birthday invitation

It's my birthday on October 15 and whether I can talk or not (here's hoping that I can), I'm still going to celebrate.

By happy coincidence, there's a ZZ9 slouch in Bournemouth that day, so anyone coming along the the slouch is invited back to my place afterwards. Food, drink and places to sleep are all available. There may well be gaming taking place... Real mattresses (all called Zem) may be on offer for those who are first to say they want to stay overnight. After that, it may be a case of bring your own sleeping bag (though I do have a few tucked away in the loft)

Anyone who's not going on the slouch, but wants to come to the party is welcome. (These who aren't ZZ9 members, but would like to come on the slouch, turn up at Bournemouth station at 1pm. dougs will smile sweetly and profer a membership form, but you're still welcome, even if you don't join) Our general plan is to enjoy the winter gardens (Bournemouth does have some really nice formal gardens running through it), dive into the sex shops in the Triangle, possible take in the rather nice Indian clothing shops, maybe walk down to the beach and toss a frisbee about generally slouch around. We may even exchange HHG quotes from time to time. And there's always Waterstone's if it rains. And pubs.

Let me know if you're coming to the party so I can get an idea of how many we're feeding. (I don't need 100% committment, but general intent is handy)

I'd like to come, but you share a birthday with my mother, so I may need to be en famille that day - depends what their plans are and whether Mum will want to clebrate on the day or wait till my sisters are all available.

It'll be the Bournemouth Slouch on October 15th -- that's a week and a day away.

Judith (who is having trouble with her voice at the moment) heads the Blakes 7 team in the water pistol fight each year, and has met several of you either there or at conventions such as Redemption, Eastercon and Novacon. She's acting as our local guide for the slouch, and she writes as follows (very slightly edited):

So there's an invitation for any slouchers to come to Judith's for a birthday party. The mention of gaming is worthy of note, it's a family that takes its games seriously. She lives about ten miles from Bournemouth, and transport will be organised on the fly, on the day.
