Students
It's obviously a busy life being a student. All those wargaming sessions to attend in freshers week. Doesn't even leave enough time to send an e-mail to your mother.
I can't talk for more than about 30 seconds on the phone, and that's pushing it and likely to leave me croaky for an hour afterwards.
Would it really kill
exalted_mugwump to take enough time out of his pressing schedule to write an e-mail or make a livejournal entry so that I can feel he's still out there?
I'd like to know what he's doing. I'd quite like a note at intervals to know he's still alive... I'd be interested to know if he's found interesting things to do, if he's met interesting people. Does he miss home? Has he actually had any sleep (probably not judging from the brief conversation when I phoned him.)
He's been having problems getting his e-mail set up, but that doesn't prevent him from using livejournal.
I need the sense of connection. I need to know he's still there. KNowing what he's doing helps me to feel he's still there. I need to know if he's happy/sad, bored/interested, etc.
