New Orleans
I have a memory that always makes connections by songs. It's just the way it works.
Today, simply by acknowledging the tunes running through my head ('Battle of New Orleans', 'House of the Rising Sun' and 'And I fell in love with a Creole girl, by the lakes of Pontchartrain') I know what is on my mind.
For me, it's a tragedy on many levels. I said to a friend a few months ago (he was a global warming skeptic) that the easiest prediction to make was that hurricanes would get worse (not more frequent, but more damaging) as their strength is directly related to ocean-surface temperatures.
BEing right is no fun.
