Rosalie's back home

The good news is that Rosalie is back home and sounding a lot more like herself.
She says that just being able to sit in the sun in her own garden and hear the
wind in the trees makes an enormous difference. She's back with her partner and
children and doensn't have to eat hospital food any more (they try, but they
don't have much imagination when it comes to vegetarians)

She sounded so much happier when I spoke to her last night.

And I slept better than I have in a fortnight.

The bad news is that after talking to far too many friends and relatives, the
voice is totally up the spout again. C'est la vie.

It was worth it. Gillian (Rosalie's twin) will be in England at the end of this
week, so I'll probably risk the voice and go and see two sisters at once.

Hm. I should have made you get off the phone sooner last night...

I'm glad she's home again - it makes a huge difference to morale.

Mention of food reminds me - if feasible, somebody making a large batch of something Rosalie can eat, and putting it in the freezer in meal sized boxes for later reheating in the microwave, can be extremely useful. My dad found that cooking was a good way to take his mind off things for a bit, but it was handy to not *have* to do anything more than stick something in the microwave. And if the drugs are making it difficult to eat, being able to get a hot meal in front of someone within five minutes makes it easier to take advantage of short periods when eating is possible.
