Come From Away

 I just got a subscription to Amazon and the extra for Apple TV, so that I could watch Murderbot - which was every bit as good as I had hoped.

 

Though I'm not sure the 20min episode format was the right choice.  I'd have liked them a bit longer.

 

Having got the subscription for a three month trial, I'm seeing what else are must-watches.

I've just watched the musical 'Come From Away' which was brilliant, and I highly recommend.  I had no idea what it was about, just took a punt on it.

It followed what happened in Gander, Newfoundland, when masses of planes got diverted after 9/11.  

 

It's a stage production, hardly any scenery apart from a dozen chairs, but some great singers!

 

'Pluribus' is probably next on my list - any other suggestions?

The first 2 seasons of See (with Jason Momoa) are pretty good. The third season is a bit meh.

On Amazon you may enjoy Good Omens if you haven't seen it. Ditto Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, and Star Trek: Picard.

I haven't watched much on Apple TV though my husband has enjoyed lots of things.

Good Omens, I loved.

Rings of Power, I found naff. The plot of the first season was ludicrous - all that effort to trigger a gadget, when he could just have set it off the moment he'd finished building it.

Picard - mixed bag.

We're caught up with Good Omens.

One season through Rings of Power, which overall I'm disappointed with, but sticking with.

Haven't watched any Picard yet!

Apple TV "Bookish" This is a new series set just after WW2. It follows a bookstore owner who is obsessed with solving crimes. 6 episodes cover 3 mysteries (murders). I really liked it. I understand season 2 has just wrapped and you will see it before we do.

I have heard that the Murderbot TV series is a travesty in comparison to the books; character assassination for some of the characters, basically for no reason. Since I love the books, I'm loath to expose myself to it.
