Heat Pump installation - the end is in sight
After yesterday's interesting interactions with asbestos, we've been on full throttle today.
In the lounge, we had Matt and Martin removing the artex (it is safe to do it without PPE if you're using this wet method of removing it. Martin's only wearing it to protect his clothes)
Outside, we had two men from Denison Construction removing the chimney
And in the kitchen, Ash and assistant from H2 ECO doing the final connections for the heat pump.
You wanted to know what the heat pump looked like?
Here it is, finally sending heat into the system.
It's not going at full capacity yet, we're warming the floor up gradually so as to be gentle to the new flooring, but we can already feel the difference.
There's still painting to be done in the lounge, and the upstairs radiators to install, but we're past most of the things generating mess/dust/stuff all over the place. The kitchen and office are heading towards normality, and I will actually be able to start cleaning!
I've already turned down the electric radiator in the upstairs room we've been living in, and the room feels far more comfortable. There's heat working its way up from downstairs. The rest of the house no longer feels chilly - and that's pretty good considering all the curtains downstairs have been removed for washing.
I think this is going to work out well :)
