I've never liked, or trusted, the compact florescents. They never had the claimed brightness or lifetime. And I was always suspicious of the way you could never find a whole life cost to compare with the old incandescent bulbs.

Which is why I stockpiled incandescents while I waited for the leds to become viable. Now I've gone through the house fitting leds.
