Cats

Domestic cats in Britain kill 360 million creatures a year. If I had a pound for every person who says 'It's not my cat. My cat never catches anything' I could buy my own, very large, nature reserve.

Well, someone's 'not my cat' just killed my baby blackbirds.

Killed the baby blackbirds!?! How awful.

And completely ridiculous to say that "my cat doesn't kill birds" -- cats will kill anything that moves that they can catch. It's the nature of the beast.

Feral cats do huge amounts of damage to Australia's native wildlife -- because not only is it a veritable killing machine, and not only is it a predator amongst prey that isn't used to such a predator, but also because it kills for sport.

(conflicted) I still wuv puddy tats, though. Outdoor cats ought to be belled, though. Though cats are useful for catching mice, very useful.
