 The problem with liking to get the background details correct in a story is that you can waste many hours procrastinating.  I've just spent at least two hours watching and reading about 'The West Wing', all for a scene in my Stargate story that will run to a page at the most...

I'm still having to fight myself to get any actual writing done.
