Anonymous Comments now banned

I've decided to ban comments from anonymous posters after getting a troll on my last posting.

I've no objection to my friends (or regular visitors) posting comments that disagree with my own views of those of other commentators.  I will not tolerate people trolling anonymously.

I'm making this decision partly out of respect for those who know they hold views that may be unpopular, who are scared of posting when they know they may get nasty comments as a result, but still have the integrity to post under their own username.  (I'm thinking particularly of my Christian friends here - you know who you are and you're always welcome to say whatever you like in this journal.)

Apologies to those of you who sometimes comment anonymously because you've forgotten to log in - I know you aren't doing it intentionally.

Eminently reasonable. Most of my posts are friends-only for a similar reason.

No problem. Since the Russian/Chinese spambots started up I've been filtering anonymous answers on all my open posts. If someone does reply anonymously then they'll get the warning and be able to log in and comment as usual.
