What to do if someone has a heart attack.

Here via Rockwell_666

It might save someone's life.

In addition to the tunes suggested, 'Nellie the Elephant' and the Archers theme music are at the correct fast pace for Continuous Chest Compression.

If someone were singing the Archers theme tune I think I'd rather stay dead *g*. Nellie the Elephant's OK...

But it depends how fast you sing them, of course. I'd rather depend on 100bpm than on how fast I happen to sing (when I just tried Nellie I was at around 120bpm, assuming beats on Nellie and Elephant).

Useful to know that it has a higher survival rate than CPR...

I wasn't doing it, I was just singing the song at the usual speed I'd sing it. So if I went by that I'd intentionally speed up the pushes. But since I know how to judge 100bpm (it's a tad over 1.5 per second).

Thank you for posting this innovation! No one has spread this technique among the public yes here, which is a shame. At least the traditional CPR is widespread! No one knows what can happen ... I will be prepared.

Interesting! I must admit to a certain morbid fascination that the tune they picked was "Stayin' Alive" though!

Apparently nurses being trained to do tradiitonal CPR were taught that "Another one bites the dust" gives the correct rhythm.
