Nowt as Queer as Folk
It is possible, nay, even probable, that many of my friends who do not normally appreciate morris dancers, would appreciate the poster for a May concert from the English Folk Dance and Song Society.
It's safe for work - barely....
My only complaint is that I want to see the entire side, not just one dancer!

We included lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transpeople. One of the dancers was an ex of mine, another was somebody I had a fling with after meeting through the side, and that person is now married to another of us. All of which wasn't bad going, considering there were only about 8 of us :-) But I've found that Morris sides need about 20 people to be viable through the inevitable comings and goings of people. So we didn't last as a side.
I hope this picture you're showing indicates that some people have made a new gay side. Morris is so fabulous. I love how it can be is a combination of butch and pouffy, meaningful and hilarious, all at the same time.
