Intelligent/Stupid MPs

Read this, then consider who you'd vote for...

I have decided that I'm in love with Evan Harris and would vote against David Tredinnick regardless of what party he was standing for.

I am not, however, surprised to find out that Harris is a LibDem and Tredinnick is a Tory. Oh how I love it when the world conforms to my prejudices.

I know nothing about cervical cancer screening, but presume its intrusive and unpleasant, so surely you wouldn't want to suggest to people that won't benefit from it that it is even a possibility, as it would induce guilt that they'd not had it done.

I find the screening process easy, but I'm unusual in that.

I know one friend who finds it so distressing that she and the nurse agreed to give up after nearly an hour trying to help her relax.

"It is no good people saying that just because we cannot prove something, it does not work."

I wonder how far the Hon Member would like to extend that rather tendentious principle? Compulsory installing of amulets against the evil eye to prevent car crashes? A return to trial by ordeal? Witch-ducking?
