Silvercon was great
Had a fantastic weekend with loads of friends old and new - ranging in age from 11 to 67. Laughed an awful lot from games of Charades and Pictionary. Got assassinated twice in Junta. Explored Lost Cities, threw mud pies (Matschig), built railways (Ticket to Ride), bluffed in Die Mauer, won a hard fought game of Monopoly, modelled in Rapidough, pulled a tight victory for our team in Articulate, rolled dice in Perudo, played loads of other stuff that is starting to fade from memory - and discovered that the best way to mime 'Quo Vadis' in Charades is to dress like Tom Baker and go for 'sounds like Tardis'.
Had three or four games going on simultaneously for most of the weekend.
The only drawback was going down with a streaming cold and sore throat on Sunday evening. I had to retreat to bed, but it was pleasant to doze to the faint sound of laughter rising up from downstairs where people were still playing and enjoying themselves.
Thanks to everyone who came and helped us to have such a fun celebration!
