Worldcon - proud to be a cheapskate

I've just booked my accomodation for Worldcon. Henry and I will be staying in a twin room at the university. Massively cheaper than even the cheap hotels and very close to the main site to boot.

So what if I have to cook my own breakfast - breakfast costs extra at the hotels in any case.

Sharing a bathroom has never bothered me in the slightest. I was a student for three years and it never bothered me then either.

For thirty pound a night for a twin room, I can easily forgo an ensuite.

I don't see why people pay so much for hotel rooms when you go to these places to sleep ;-) BF and I spend our time in Travel Inns as they are so cheap but I have no fear of shared facilities. I LIKED being a student!

My friend and I went to the British Deaf Association con in Inverness, and stayed in a tent for four nights. It was three pounds and thirty pence each per night :)

I'm getting a little old and stiff for tents, though I'd do it again should Sidmouth Folk Festival ever rise from the ashes.
