Czech Blake's 7 fan

I'd like to introduce my fellow Blake's 7 fans to Vera, [livejournal.com profile] vjezkova.

She's a Blake's 7 fan from the Czech Republic and hit on the excellent idea of improving her English by reading B7 fanzines. She's shy about her English, but it's a lot better than she gives herself credit for.

I encouraged her to join Livejournal to find more fiction and to meet other fans. She's been lurking for a while, but is just plucking up the courage to post (left her first comment in my journal yesterday) and I'm hoping that if a few of you say 'hi' here, it'll help her find fellow fans. And if you can show her where to find online fiction that you've written, even better. She may know some of you through your writing without even realising it.

Hello Vera! welcome, please do post.

I'd be interested to read in your journal how you got into B7!

I was going to offer Vera links to some of the Blake's 7 communities on LJ, but since she hasn't any entries yet there's no way to send her a comment directly! But in the hope she'll look here, I suggest she starts at [livejournal.com profile] b7friday - the sidebar on the left has links to several other communities.

Hi Vera! Welcome aboard!

Hmm... I really ought to do me a B7 icon.

Hello Vera welcome to the B7 fandom. There's lots of fic. on livejournal, that's the only reason I've got one. Make an entry so we can welcome you on your own lj.

Well, if the American English speakers are acceptable, I'll toss my hello in, too. Vera, don't worry about your English, my friend, I've been writing in it for 46 years and haven't done substantial damage to it, yet, so you'll be fine. :) Besides, I'm sure your English is much better than my Czech or Slovak, neither of which I speak a word of, so there you have it.

I've written a bunch of B7 fic in paper zines (in the ancient days before the advent of the net), but none of it is online. There has been a great body of superb B7 fic and a lot of it is posted to the net. You just must dig a bit to find it.

Good luck to you.
