tooth or no tooth...
The dentist decided not to remove the tooth. He's concerned that the wisdom tooth is not the cause of the pain (no sign of crack or infection on the X-ray) and the pain hasn't got any worse since he last saw me.
He's referring me to the hospital to see if they can discover what it is.
There's lots of possible causes and he's reluctant to speculate as to what it might be. (He did mention stress as a possible factor and it is certain that the pain began at a time of very high stress for me)
It may be a pain, but at least he's being very ethical - and didn't charage me for the visit (and a tooth extraction would have cost quite a lot...)
