birds in chimneys
A starling fell down the chimney this morning. It happens about once a year, so
we've got it down to a fine art now.
If you ever have a wild bird in your room and want to know how to get it out,
here's what you do - draw all the curtains, except the one over an *open*
window. Turn out all the lights, and about three seconds later, the bird will
have flown out of the open window.
They head for daylight and as long as you remove all signals from artificial
lights and glass, they sort themselves out instantly.
