New Year resolutions and wishes
I've still got a rough throat as a result of a recent infection (the whole family have been down with it) and I'm pretty tired, so I'm going to be very boring and go to bed and let the New Year look after itself.
I was going to consider various New Year resolutions, but it looks as though the car may have to top the list. It just broke down yet again. I don't want to get a new one as long as this one will get us from A to B, but we've had the AA out three or four times in just a few months.
I think one of the few advantages of getting older is that you find patience comes easier. When you're young, everything has to be done now. By the time you hit my age, you know there's still plenty of time left and that many things will resolve themselves if you are prepared to give them time to work out.
To those of you whom I love (and you're a right mixed bag of people from all over the world) may the New Year give you the gift of time. Time to relax and unwind, time to spend with those you love, and time to find peace within yourselves.
