Voice is still bad

I still haven't managed to shake off this bout of voice trouble. Today, it's worse than ever. I'm even thinking twice before I whisper.

I thought it was getting better on Saturday, but in retrospect, I think the quiet at Winspit was helping me. In the caves, there's no car noise, no background computer hum, no fridge/washing machine, nothing at all that I have to talk over. Also, a lot of water being squirted around helped the humidity in the realtively still air and I think that was good for the voice as well.

We had a fantastic time - Richard won the wet t-shirt award by virtue of wearing a shirt with sleeves (it can hold more water, which is important when judging between two equally saturated people!)

As soon as Richard's uploaded his photos, I'll put in a few links.

I suspect half the problem is that I've got [livejournal.com profile] grumpoldusenaut staying and I keep failing to resist the temptation to have interesting conversations. There's story ideas that we want to talk over, and the world to discuss and so much general gossip as well. We haven't had half the conversations that we'd like to have, and even that much is a problem when the voice is so screwed to start with.
