Our loft is as well insulated as it can be - we had the entire roof redone (and the tiles recycled, or at least they were supposed to be) when we had the building work done. That, and the new bits of the house, are very nicely insulated. Trouble is, the core of the house is 100 years old, and there are new bits of intermediate generations as well.
